changes to Business Immigration Stream

Immigration New Brunswick (INB) has recently made changes to Business Immigration Stream.

The following changes are now in effect:

• The mandatory connection to New Brunswick is no longer required.
• Age to apply is now 19-59
• The language benchmark is now CLB4;
• Minimum managerial/ business ownership experience is -2 years in the last 5 years;
• An applicant can request a change of business plan up to 90 days after arrival in New Brunswick.
• The first six months of operational costs such as rent, utilities and employee salaries are eligible expenses.
• Agricultural applicants are required to conduct a mandatory exploratory visit to New Brunswick for a minimum of five business days,
• Minimum net worth for farm applicants is $300,000 CAD;
• Applicants can apply for nomination after six months of business establishment if all conditions of their business performance agreement have been met.
