What vaccinated travellers need to know before entering Canada<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canada recently eased quarantine requirements for vaccinated travellers who are exempt from travel restrictions.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of Canada\u2019s phased approach to easing border measures,\u00a0fully vaccinated travellers<\/a>\u00a0who are exempt from travel restrictions will not need to quarantine nor will they need to take a\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0<\/a>test on day-8, beginning on July 5, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. EDT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canadians, permanent residents and their family members as well as some temporary foreign workers and international students who attend an educational institution with a COVID-19 readiness plan are exempt from the travel restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition,\u00a0holders of a\u00a0valid Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) are now also\u00a0exempt<\/a>\u00a0and may travel to Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be considered fully vaccinated in Canada, you must have received\u00a0vaccines approved by the Canadian government. This means you should have received\u00a0two doses of the Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccines, or one dose of the Janssen vaccine, or approved combinations, at least 14 days before entering Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
